Limitations

  • Secure Exchange Solutions (Direct messaging)
    • The ability to exchange Direct messages with other external providers dependent upon the SES HISPs ability to establish a secure connection with the external provider’s HISP.
    • TIME connects to the SES HISP via a secure web service connection to SES’s cloud based service which is outside of the client’s network – loss of internet connectivity between the TIME server and the SES HISP will prevent Direct messages from being exchanged.
  • DrFirst Rcopia (eRx)
    • Physicians access to Rcopia from TIME via an HTTPS to the Rcopia cloud-based service, thus loss of internet connectivity from the physician’s workstation (physical or virtual) will prevent physicians from writing electronic prescriptions
    • The TIME servers exchange registration info (from TIME) and medication info (from Rcopia) via HTTPS calls to the Rcopia cloud-based servers.  Loss of internet connectivity between the TIME server and the Rcopia server will prevent patient demographic information from being uploaded to Rcopia and will prevent medication information (such as prescriptions and medication list information documented in Rcopia) from being downloaded.
  • Inbound (to TIME) HL7 2.5.1 Laboratory Results Interface
    • If the Lab Provider’s servers are running outside of the client’s network, connectivity is provided via a VPN between the TIME server and the Lab Providers server.  Loss of connectivity will prevent lab results from being received by TIME
    • TIME clinical administrators will need to ensure the mapping of TIME lab result codes is updated when the Lab Provider’s result codes are updated.  Failure to keep this mapping updated will result in the lab results for any new codes from being loaded into TIME.
  • HL7 2.5.1 ADT Interface (inbound or outbound)
    • If the Lab Provider’s servers are running outside of the client’s network, connectivity is provided via a VPN between the TIME server and the Lab Provider’s server.  Loss of connectivity will prevent ADT messages from being sent or received by TIME

Client Testimonials

I have personally used QMS software since 1989. Therefore, it was an easy decision choosing Focus as our billing software system when we started National Renal Care in 2016.  QMS offers a far superior dialysis billing product, is always up to date with industry changes, and implements them in a timely manner. Focus has excellent reporting capabilities and interfaces effectively with multiple EMRs.  The QMS staff is friendly and knowledgeable and offers outstanding support.  We look forward to a continued long term working relationship.

QMS has built a very powerful application. Their software has the critical features needed to properly submit dialysis claims plus all the bells and whistles.  The QMS system pre-submission process of error and data checks ensure we submit clean claims. The post claim submission reports help us stay organized and track claims so we can manage cash flow. Their professional customer service team is always there for any questions or problems. We found the QMS system to be better than we anticipated from the demo.

Our experiences with QMS as a dialysis billing software vendor has benefited our company.  Not only are they a great company to work with, they are always up to date with industry changes. Since this was new software for us, at times the setup seemed overwhelming. The QMS staff was readily available and very knowledgeable which helped ease the transition; they always explained the reason why certain processes were needed.  Today we see the benefits.
